Proving the Left's pattern of ideological investigative, legal, and prosecutorial actions against Trump
Trump Versus the Hive, Part 24
Proving the Left's pattern of ideological investigative, legal, and prosecutorial actions against Trump
By Daniel Ben Abraham
When it appeared as though then-President Trump’s Justice Department might investigate and or prosecute Hillary or Joe Biden, the Left went berserk.
There were calls for immediate impeachment of Trump, and Barr, for the unconscionable threat to democracy from prosecuting a political opponent. There was shouting in the streets at how this cannot be allowed. Law professors were up in arms, and scholarly articles were written purportedly destroying Trump’s moral if not legal authority to do such.[1]There was detailed analysis of the outrage, and calls for the DOJ employees to not follow any such orders from Trump and thwart any plans he may have.[2] Remember?
And now in 2023 that Trump being prosecuted… tumbleweeds. Worse than tumbleweeds, the Left is like a crowd cheering on gladiators at the colosseum in their enthusiasm at seeing Trump convicted, pretending to be mere observers in this ideological fervor, and having completely forgotten their precisely opposite and equally passionate position on the same issue just a short time ago. Mind-washed.
Of course, the Left justifies it with legal distinctions like, Biden isn’t publicly calling for Trump prosecutions the way Trump made public statements.
But is that really the test? Does an ideological movement that hates Trump and wants him removed by whatever means need more than winks and nods? Winks and nods are enough, the media announcements of four imminent prosecutions of Trump only needs Biden to remain silent to proceed. Maybe Biden not telling Garland not to prosecute is the signal to prosecute.
The correct test is, of course, how the law and DOJ prosecution of political opponents have historically been applied.
How do we know the Trump prosecutions are:
-ideological,
-irrational,
-politically motivated,
-misguided,
-immoral,
-election interference,
-unconstitutional and dismissable, and
-dangerous and possibly leading us toward a second civil war?
The question of whether Left or Right ideology is currently more malignant is about to be answered.
In identifying Left ideological malignancy, important factors demonstrated include a skewed perspective of facts, emotion overriding reason, bias, delusion, and not seeing one’s own ideology accurately. The resulting escalation of such irrationality is what destroys justice systems and triggers civil wars.
Let’s look at the clear pattern of ideologically-influenced government actions against Trump, which are:
1. Atypical
2. Irrational, biased, or delusional
3. Investigative, prosecutorial, or high-level government action
4. Directed at Trump or his people
5. Proven or admitted wrong, faulty, or misguided
· As detailed in the Durham Report, the entire “Russia Collusion” investigation of Trump including the Mueller investigation was the result of Hillary Clinton-funded political research, and implanted both into the FBI and the media through backdoor meetings and communications by Clinton’s agents.[3] The Durham Report also described events as a “startling and inexplicable failure”, and stated, “The FBI thus failed to act on what should have been -when combined with other, incontrovertible facts - a clear warning sign that the FBI might then be the target of an effort to manipulate or influence the law enforcement process for political purposes during the 2016 presidential election.”[4]
· The FBI obtained a court order for surveillance under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) to spy on Trump advisor Carter Page based on false evidence and failing to disclose the political origins of their investigation. Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith pleaded guilty of changing an email which said Carter Page was an “operational contact” to saying he was “not a source” in order to justify a surveillance warrant on him. He didn’t get jailtime either, by the way.[5]
· FBI Director James Comey took personal notes after his meetings with President Trump apparently intending to use those notes against the President. He also leaked classified information to the NY Times, and published a book called ‘A Higher Loyalty.” Comey later admitted “I was wrong” regarding an FBI report detailing “real sloppiness” in the investigation of Trump, including 17 errors and inaccuracies in the warrant applications to wiretap of Trump aid Carter Page.[6] The FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) Court strongly condemned the FBI’s actions in wiretapping the President’s aid.[7] The DOJ later admitted it lacked probable cause.[8]
· Agent Strzok reopened the investigation into Flynn the day after the FBI decided to close it admitting they had no evidence.
· Strzok, Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI's Counterintelligence Division and led the investigation into Russian interference, literally plotted to use the FBI and its Russia investigation as an “insurance policy” to stop the election of a candidate he disagreed with politically. It doesn’t get more “deep state” than that. “[S]enior FBI official, Strzok, who was helping to lead the Russia investigation at the time, conveys in a text message to another senior FBI official, Page, “No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it” in response to her question “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!”.[9] [10] DOJ Office of Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s Report characterized Strzok’s exchange as: “not only indicative of a biased state of mind but, even more seriously, implies a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate’s electoral prospects. This is antithetical to the core values of the FBI and the Department of Justice.”[11]
· The OIG also found that the FBI’s focused on the Russia investigation of Trump and not Clinton per the Anthony Weiner laptop matter due to bias. “Conversely, we found that the FBI’s explanations for its failure to take immediate action after discovering the Weiner laptop in October 2016 to be unpersuasive, and we did not have confidence that the decision of Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok to prioritize the Russia investigation over following up on the Weiner laptop was free from bias.”[12]
· FBI Director James Comey “went rogue” as discussed by former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in going after Michael Flynn after the case had been closed.[13]
· Judge Sullivan refused to dismiss the case against Michael Flynn even when the U.S. Department of Justice moved to drop the case. The Court of Appeals had to override Judge Sullivan and order the case dismissed when Judge Sullivan refused to.[14]
· Donald Trump Jr. has been investigated by Mueller, the FBI, by Adam Schiff, by the House Intelligence Committee, and his businesses were audited and investigated by the New York Attorney General. Eric Trump’s charity was also investigated.
· Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen allegedly violated client confidences to oppose his own long-time client, the former President. He pleaded guilty in 2018 to federal tax crimes and lying to Congress.
· Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein plotted to wear a wire to try to elicit recorded statements to remove the sitting President, and approved FBI surveillance of the incoming Administration. Rosenstein later admitted before a Congressional committee that had he known then what he knows now, he would not have authorized the FISA surveillance application of anyone connected to the Trump campaign.
· Congressman Adam Schiff gave a speech fabricating false content claiming to be part of Trump’s Ukraine phone call, and that he had secret evidence regarding Trump’s collusion with Russia, when seeking to impeach Trump for the Ukraine phone call. Schiff said Trump said on his call things like, I want you to make up dirt on my opponent, understand? Lots of it.”[15] When the call transcript was made public, it did not contain those statements by Trump. Some sought to censure Schiff for the false representations, but accepted his excuse that it was merely a “parody.”[16]
· Over a thousand former DOJ attorneys and federal judges signed a letter demanding Attorney General Barr be removed because of a Trump tweet about Roger Stone.
· Election officials sought to remove Trump’s name from ballots for not releasing his tax returns, which was never a presidential requirement. They have switched excuses and continue to seek removal of Trump from ballots, saying Trump is a threat to democracy.
· During the George Floyd protests/riots, when the White House was under attack from rioters, Arlington County Police Department pulled its police officers out of the District of Columbia.[17]
· For 22 months, Trump was accused and investigated by Democrats for allegedly colluding with Russia, challenging the legitimacy of the 2016 election. Democrats and the media celebrated Trump’s imminent downfall almost daily. After 22 months of Russia “collusion” and “impeachment” certainty, the Mueller Report explained that collusion is not a crime. “Collusion is not a specific offense or theory of liability found in the United States Code, nor is it a term of art in federal criminal law.” [18] The Mueller Report “did not find that the Trump campaign, or anyone associated with it, conspired or coordinated with the Russian government.” Mueller also denied knowing pretty much his entire team was made up of Trump’s political opponents, or that the investigation began using Clinton’s political opposition research.
· Interestingly, the ideological pressure on Robert Mueller, a seasoned former FBI director, and arguably most notable law enforcement officer in the nation, that after finding insufficient evidence against Trump, made up a completely new legal standard called “exonerate” not part of his authorization nor used in our entire criminal justice system, stating he couldn’t exonerate Trump.
· Almost all of President Trump’s circle of advisors, head campaign staff, and family have been investigated, penalized, and or prosecuted, mostly for unrelated matters or process “crimes” arising from the Russia investigation itself, seeking to pressure testimony against Trump. Criminal charges filed include those against Trump’s Deputy Campaign Chair Rick Gates, Trump’s Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort, and political advisor Roger Stone, who had previously advised Reagan, Bob Dole, and G.W. Bush.
· Trump was accused of violating the Emoluments Clause. A court said he did not.
· Many of Trump’s lawyers were investigated, disciplined, fined, indicted, and or threatened with disbarment, including Robert Cohen, L. Lin Wood, Jeffrey Clark, law professor John Eastman, Jenna Ellis, even hero “America’s Mayor” and former prosecutor Rudy Giuliani, and others. This harms not only Trump, but the rights of 74+ million voters who’s case Trump represents. Even Nazis and serial killers are afforded secure legal representation and attorney-client privilege under our legal system. It’s the daily job of a lawyer to make legal and factual arguments that may not ultimately be found to be correct. Being limited to only opposition-approved legal arguments ends our justice system. Law itself is murky, especially on complex and novel issues. Even our Supreme Court disagrees, often 5-4 along ideological lines, and each side raves about how the other 4 or 5 are so absolutely, utterly, completely, and devastatingly wrong. Attorney targeting is a line never before crossed, as it effectively denies Trump and his 74+ million supporters the right to legal representation against government action. Almost any conversation between two lawyers about the legality of anything could be twisted to allegedly be plotting to commit a crime. For example, a politician asking about the correct manner to receive campaign funds could be twisted into “conspiracy to commit bribery.” Any question to any tax lawyer could be twisted to be “conspiracy to commit tax fraud.” To prosecute a lawyer for legal opinions and legal procedures is unprecedented, as until now, our shared value was the right of lawyers to make their best case.
· After not finding any improper conduct by Trump regarding Russia, he was impeached with a totally different excuse, a phone call with Ukraine’s president, which happened the very next day after Mueller testified. After 22 months of investigating one basis for impeachment, Trump was impeached regarding Ukraine for the vague “abuse of power”, which is also not a crime, and so broad as to mean anything, in the fastest impeachment in American history. It has since been revealed that Biden did ask the prosecutor investigating his son, Viktor Shokin, to be fired, and the Biden family did receive millions from Ukraine, Russia, and China. The Senate acquitted Trump of wrongdoing.
The pattern of is undeniable. Dozens of separate escalatory acts by Left entity adherents across the highest levels of government, violating its own laws, rules, policies, norms, and long-established practices that our government institutions have relied on for peace and stability, all working to try to stop Trump.
One cannot keep count of the major issues on which Trump was correct, and the entire media establishment was wrong.
And what was Trump doing during this time? Did he prosecute political enemies? No. Did he disband Congress, or vacate the Supreme Court, or cancel elections? No. Was he getting spy warrants on Democrats? No. Did he even have control over his Justice Department? No.
Trump never openly called for actual violence against another politician. Nor did he try to change the rules of the game. He was ending America’s three endless forever wars, making Middle East peace deals, pacifying North Korea, and Russia, and securing our southern border.
And despite being wrong again and again, Left ideological entity adherents only get angrier and angrier. Corrections, apologies, facts of past wrongs have zero effect on rationalizing the Left’s collective psyche or continuing goal. The emotional conditioning continues to build day after outraged day, reality be damned.
This pattern proves they will only continue to escalate.
The trajectory is that our balanced American political and justice system can be brought down by daily programmed irrational group fury faster than our detailed investigative reports of straggling reason and common sense can catch up years later.
Democrats changed their excuse for impeachment nearly overnight with no self-awareness or self-reflection of having been wrong for 22 months. Like mindless zombies, they instantly switch from Russia fever to Ukraine fever, transferring the same passion, just as the Lavool monkeys in India killed every dog and then irrationally began attacking a baby human.
The Left entity doesn’t want to die, even when proven wrong with pesky facts. It makes adherents passionate enough to disregard those facts. It makes adherents’ judgment miss facts. Deem them irrelevant. Deem them unpersuasive. Even offensive or distracting. It hides reality, so the ideology can grow stronger. Logic or facts won’t stop it, because the entity is about emotional energy, not reason.
If you’re not depressed enough, let’s continue.
· Trump was impeached for inciting the January 6th riot, even though in his speech on January 6th, he told supporters to walk to the Capitol and “peacefully and patriotically make [their] voices heard.” Most news outlets avoided covering this content of his speech while accusing him of inciting the riot. Shortly after, on January 6th at 2:38pm, Trump wrote on Twitter, “Please support our Capitol Police and law enforcement. They are truly on the side of our country. Stay peaceful!” Two minutes later, he posted the same message on Facebook. At 3:13pm, Trump Tweeted, “I am asking for everyone at the U.C. Capitol to remain peaceful! No violence! Remember, WE are the party of Law & Order. Respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!” Trump also Tweeted at 6:01pm in part, “Go home with love & in peace!” Despite these facts, the Left media narrative is that Trump didn’t mean “peaceful”, didn’t want to send these “peaceful” Tweets, he sent them too late, and takes them out of context. [19] [20]
· Trump was locked out of his Twitter account.
· In 2020, when the Hunter Biden laptop story came out and was discredited and suppressed by social media cooperating with the FBI. Over 50 former intelligence officials signed a letter stating “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation” despite having no evidence of that, including Jim Clapper, Former Director of National Intelligence; Mike Hayden, Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency, Leon Paneta, Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency and Former Secretary of Defense; John Brennan, Former Director, Central Intelligence Agency, and others.[21] Mainstream media barraged America saying this was Russian disinformation. It now turns out, the FBI knew the Hunter Biden laptop was real and not Russian disinformation in 2019, and pressured social media companies to suppress the truth during the election anyway.[22]
Podcaster Joe Rogan remarked, “That’s scary because you have the intelligence agencies colluding to keep a guy from being president who was president when the country was thriving economically.”
The pattern is remarkable.
What group psychological phenomenon are we seeing here? These aren’t “errors.”
These are mass delusions, collective ideologically-induced hallucinations, by people trusted in the highest levels of government, who cannot see facts straight due to Left ideology adherence. They violate law after rule after procedure, tearing down the systems that maintain peace like bulls in a china shop trying to stop Trump. Breaking down the systems our national security relies on, not merely recklessly, but desperate and blind to their own actions. The Left ideology jumps from ploy to ploy, and when it fails, switches gears like the previous false outrage never happened. Forget self-awareness, or even self-control. Compelled.
When reality finally hits, they admit their mistake, and that they can’t believe they acted like that. After every war and genocide, people repent saying, “I can’t believe we behaved like that; it was so wrong.” So how about not doing it in the first place?
The Left’s hive mind is essentially run by the Left media. It focuses on impeachment with full emotional intensity. Rosenstein is under pressure from the media, and appoints Mueller. For 22 months, the cooperating media scours for and sends all potential evidence to Mueller. When Mueller fails, the media picks up on the story of an Ukraine phone call the next day, journalists jump on that, and the politicians follow suit, granted legitimacy by the media coverage. If the media had said with one voice, “are you kidding, you just spent 22 months on Russia, you look like fools”, the politicians would never proceed with impeachment over Ukraine.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has identified in records over $20 million dollars received by the Biden family during Joe Biden’s Vice Presidency.[23] [24] So as it appears now, Democrats may have impeached Trump for seeking to investigate actual, real bribery and corruption by Biden and his family.
Explaining this to Democrats though, could be like explaining to a dog chasing a beef stick how Einstein’s theory of relativity works.
Biden bragged on video regarding Ukraine, “If the prosecutor’s not fired, you’re not getting the money”[25] When Trump questioned this as potential “corruption”, Left-leaning media outlets called this “debunked”, but without explaining much of where, when or how it was supposedly debunked. Democrats just repeated the word, “debunked”, not that Left media showed this video much at all anyway. Now, finally, Viktor Shokin’s account is being covered, saying he was fired because he was investigating Burisma[26]. Years later, media outlets like CNN finally admit Hunter did received $11 million dollars[27], and did earn a fortune from China, with Biden wrong or lying.[28] [29]
In fact, we now have not only documentation of how much Hunter received, but texts saying pop gets half.[30]
Thus, the Left investigated and impeached Trump, maybe changed the outcome of the 2020 election and broke the bright line against prosecution of political opponents, for a legitimate corruption inquiry of their side’s candidate.
We are now fully on the Planet of the Apes. The Left entity is now powerful enough to put on trial a man for inquiring into truth, and challenging a false narrative.
Left adherents don’t have a moment of self-reflection, self-analysis, or perspective of how dangerous their ideology is for our country. They just simply continue to escalate, ideologically compelled forward to the next feverish rampage, now criminal prosecutions.
Like the Lavool monkeys, they just keep going. The ideological momentum had no room for the rational analysis of having been irrational and mistaken so many times prior.
A blind ideology running a broken system is precisely what Trump stands against. If the guy who takes bribes becomes president, and the guy who tries to investigate the bribe is impeached and is prosecuted with 95% of the media against him, then we don’t have a democracy anymore.
Not to mention, the judgment of the wrong man is running America.
Slaves to an ideology are unable to see the irrationality of their own actions, and contradictory nature of accusations they level against Trump. They call him a Russia colluder who never colluded, an inciter of riots who told supporters to be “peaceful!”, a selfish person who made four Middle East peace deals and made peace with North Korea at great political risk, a greedy person focused on his own wealth who inexplicably donated his entire salary, he doesn’t want to be president yet is running again, running only to avoid jail even though the prosecutions were filed after he was already the lead candidate, a fool and a lunatic, an idiot and an evil genius, negligent and intentional all at the same time.
Trump is fighting an ideological entity, compelling its adherents to disregard balance, reason, and logic, and attack him in any and every way they can.
As Trump has announced his candidacy in 2023 and become the lead candidate for the 2024 election, the Left’s adherents, unable to control their ideological compulsions, now escalate again with prosecutions.
As such, Trump has just been:
- found liable in a civil lawsuit in New York,
- sued by the New York State A.G.,
- prosecuted criminally by the New York City D.A.,
- charged by federal indictment for Mar-A-Lago documents,
- charged by federal indictment regarding January 6th,
- charged in Georgia regarding election contest procedures,
If the highest levels of the FBI, DOJ, Senators, Judges, and others can have their perspective ideologically biased, so can judges and prosecutors and juries.
Their viewpoints and decisions are biased, and their perspectives skewed. they will miss facts and arguments in Trump’s favor, or discount them due to their ideology, even despite their best intentions.
It is unavoidable.
And it will still seem like their best and wisest judgment to them.
That’s why we don’t prosecute political opponents in America. it destroys our system.
And the escalations compound.
